Enjoy a spectacular flight to Paro. Upon landing at the Paro International Airport, our representatives will welcome you and drop you off at your hotel in Thimphu. As per your landing time, you may explore some tourist sites in Paro, like Ta Dzong Museum and Rinpung Dzong. Spend the remaining day in Thimphu acclimatizing and resting.

Start the day early with a delicious breakfast, then go on a guided sightseeing tour with your guide. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, built by the third king of Bhutan. Unfortunately, he died before the completion of the chorten, and the late queen's mother finished this monument in his memory.

Then, visit the Changangkha Temple, built in the 12th century. The tour continues to Drubthob monastery, which houses the Zilukha nunnery and the School of Arts and Crafts. At the school, you can see 13 types of Bhutanese art.

Likewise, stop at the National Library, which houses a huge collection of centuries-old Bhutanese sculptures. Later in the evening, you will visit the Traditional Paper Factory, Folk Heritage Museum, and Thimphu Market.

After exploring these places, you will drive to Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. From here, you will continue the ride to Punakha via DochuLa Pass. The top of the pass offers stunning views of the northern Tibetan mountains.

Have a delicious breakfast and get ready to visit tourist sites in Punakha with your guide. Visit the Chimi Lhakhang Temple, the fertility temple. A short hike is required to reach the top of the temple.

From here, you will visit the Punakha Dzong, the second-biggest dzong in Bhutan. It was built in the 17th century. The tour then continues to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten.

It was built in 2004 and presents marvelous traditional Bhutanese architecture. The view of Punakha Valley from here is superb. Have lunch and then drive to Paro to spend the night. The evening is free.

Today is your last full day in Paro. Early in the morning, hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest Monastery. It will take 2 hours of uphill climbing to reach the monastery. The view of the monastery and waterfalls during hiking is mind-blowing.

Taktsang Monastery is one of the significant monasteries in Bhutan. It is believed that Guru Rimpoche visited it on a tiger's back in the 8th century. Legend further says he meditated in the cave where the monastery was built for three months. Have lunch and rest for a bit.

Later, you will visit the ruins of the 17th-century Drukgyel Dzong. This historical monument was built by Shabdrung to commemorate his victory against invading Tibetans in 1644. On clear days, the view of Mount Jomolhari (7,314 m) is stunning.

Lastly, you will visit Kyichu Lhakhang gompa, which was made in the 7th century. It is one of the 108 temples the Tibetan king Songtse Gampo constructed.

For instance, ema datshi is the national dish. It is made of chili peppers and cheese. Another staple in the Bhutanese meal is red rice. It has a nutty flavor and is served with stews and curries. Likewise, phaksha paa is a dish made of stir-fried pork.

You should also try jasha maru- spicy chicken stew, zow shungo- leftover vegetable rice, suja- Bhutanese butter tea, ara- traditional alcohol, honetay- buckwheat dumplings, goep- tripe dish, momos, etc.
