Bouddhanath Stupa:

The history of the Bouddhanath Stupa dates back to the 5th or 6th century. It is the largest stupa in Nepal and the center of Tibetan Buddhism in the country. Our team will be at the airport as per your landing schedule to welcome you to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. You can spot them with your name card and our company's banner.

They will escort you to the hotel and help you with your luggage. The remaining day is free. Get rest and explore the lively streets of Thamel.

Start the day bright and early with a big breakfast, and get ready to embark on a full day of sightseeing with your guide. The guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to different Buddhist monuments in and around Kathmandu.

You will visit the Monkey Temple, which is known as Swayambhunath Stupa in Nepal language. It is one of the oldest temples in Nepal, dating back over 2,000 years.

Then, you will drive to Bouddhanath Stupa, the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. It is also the biggest Tibetan refugee area. From here, the tour continues to Kapan monastery.

It was established in the 1970s and is now the primary place for learning Buddhism in Nepal. You will also visit Pharping Monastery, located on the outskirts of Kathmandu. It is one of the biggest mysteries in Nepal.

Namobuddha is the place where, according to the ancient legend, Prince Mahasattva (a former incarnation of Buddha) selflessly offered his body to a starving tigress and her cubs. This act is one of the cores of Buddhist teachings.

You will visit the Maya Devi Temple and see the exact spot where Buddha was born. Some parts of the sites date back to the 3rd century BCE.

You will also visit the Ashoka Pillar, erected by emperor Ashoka in 249 BCE. The Sacred Garden, World Peace Pagoda, and International Monasteries are some other places you will explore today.

You will explore the palace complex, city gates, and defensive walls. The southern gate is believed to be the gate that Siddhartha (Buddha) used during his great renunciation of royal life.

Likewise, you will also visit Kunda. Here, you will visit the Nigrodharama Monastery, where Buddha is believed to have returned after attending enlightenment to meet his father and another family.
