Comments: "Good company, great people (Manaslu Trek)"
We did the 18 day Manaslu-Circuit Trek which was a great experience!
Everything was well organized. Gyan, the owner met us at the airport and arranged everything, including gear rental and parcel service (we sent some stuff from and back home)
The tour was also well organized and our guide and porter were experienced and nice people. They recommended good teahouses and were flexible.
Thank you, Adventure Treks Nepal

Comments: "10 day Annapurna Base Camp Trek - April 2017"
Adventure Treks Nepal was recommended to us by my close friend. My husband and I decided to spend our Easter holidays trekking through the Himalayas. For me this was definitely a challenge. I am not the most outdoorsy person, I walk slow, I scare easily and I don't have very good balance. Nevertheless, I wanted to attempt this trek and my goal was to make it to ABC!
We contacted Gyan, owner of Adventure Treks Nepal, and shared our rough itinerary and the dates. We asked about different packages for 2,3, and 4 people. It gets cheaper with more people. We requested no city tours as we wanted to maximize our time in the mountains. We requested domestic flights (as opposed to bus) between Kathmandu and Pokhara, both ways.
Gyan was very quick to reply and gave us very detailed information on each day of the trek (what altitude we would be trekking to, from where to where, estimated time of trekking each day, what was included/excluded from the cost, names of hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara etc).
Gyan was excellent at communicating with us and responding to our many questions. We were immediately impressed. We did check out a few other agencies for comparison, but felt most comfortable and re-assured with Gyan. All the package fees were more or less close to the same costs, some of the others we checked were comparatively lower and that kind of raised some eyebrows for us. In the end, we were extremely satisfied and happy that we decided to go with Gyan and Adventure Treks Nepal.
Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, Gyan himself greeted us at the airport and gave us our first briefing at the hotel. We were very surprised that Gyan was there himself, but this also gave us a great impression of how much he cared for his clients. It was very personal and we felt at ease.
Our assigned guide was Gyanendra Karki. We met him briefly at the hotel on our arrival and immediately felt comfortable. He is a very experienced and seasoned guide. He has trekked all over Nepal and knows the trails so well. Each evening after dinner, he would brief us for the next day. He knew exactly how many minutes up or down we would be trekking, the terrain of the trail and the estimated time for the day.
We felt safe and at ease with Gyanendra. He is very amiable and we enjoyed having conversations with him. We shared many jokes and stories. He always openly shared the different options we had for each day (i.e. if we could not make it to our planned destination on time, if the weather wasn't good etc).
Our porter, Mr. Bishnu, was also very experienced. He was very quiet, but we noticed he was very observant and always helping to look out for us. We also noted he was very well dressed! Nice pants and shirt and nice shoes! He took very good care of us.
After the first day, Gyanendra and Mr. Bishnu had observed how we trekked/walked and were able to better plan the next 9 days for us. They understood our pace and how I was scared when coming down hills and big steps / stones. It was mostly my pace that was slower, but my husband stayed by my side. Gyanendra and Mr. Bishnu both emphasized that we each need to walk at our own paces. Don't let anyone pressure you to go faster. Be confident in your steps for peace of mind and for safety.
Gyanendra always tried his best to get us the most comfortable tea houses with our own private room. Sometimes we would need to walk a little further, but all the tea houses were lovely and we were grateful to him to arranging it for us.
We slightly amended our return trip, which I felt was better for my walking pace. It also gave us a chance to see a different route on the way down instead of going the same way we went up.
On our last night of the trek, when we were down to lower altitudes, we shared a beer with Gyanendra and Mr. Bishnu to our successful trip. Gyanendra gave us a lovely stone plaque with a nice message and also gave us each a little note. We loved the personal touch.
Once we arrived in Pokhara the next day, we had our last lunch with Gyanendra and he introduced us to some lovely Chili Chicken. Was delicious!
We would highly recommend Gyanendra and Mr. Bishnu for any treks in Nepal. They are both experienced, attentive and pleasant to spend 10 days with! Gyanendra has so much knowledge and local tips he can share with you. Anything we asked him, he was able to share some history, tips or funny stories.
It was sad to say good-bye to Gyanendra when we arrived in Kathmandu, but if we go back again, we will definitely request Gyanendra as our guide or at least have a meal with him.
On our departure from Kathmandu, Gyan came to pick us up and drop us at the airport. We loved the personal touch of greeting and sending us off directly from Gyan.
We were truly impressed with Adventure Treks Nepal (Gyan, Gyanendra, Mr. Bishnu) and Nepal. We hope to be back again one day! Thank you Adventure Treks Nepal!

Comments: We had an amazing time doing manaslu circuit trek. Our guide Dev was very experienced and made sure we acclimitised well before the pass. While others were resting at the tea house, we were practicing 900 ascent. He always made sure we had good rooms and always ordered our dinner early so we could eat earlier. He also made many adjustments to the itinerary according to our pace and our request to jeep the dirt road on the way back. Our porter guide was also very experienced and observant. He was also always in the kitchen helping with making our meals, which I never saw other porters do. We will definitely trek with them again when we come back to Nepal!

"My better half and I decided to go with Adventure Treks on the Manaslu circuit trek back in April. Gyan picked us up personally from the airport, and organised a guide for us, Bhuwan on our free day on short notice, making sure we covered the must see sights in our short time in Kathmandu. We were then introduced to our guide, Dev and porter, Purna who were our family for the 12-14 days we spent on the trek. When we return to Nepal (and we will!), there is no other guide/company we would go with other than these guys! Thanks for the wonderful, life changing experience!"

Comments: We booked ourselves on to the Everest Base Camp & Gokyo trek with adventure treks Nepal, and from the moment we arrived at Kathmandu and met Gyan we knew it was a great decision! Everything was sorted and there was none of the waiting around or plans not coming together that can often happen when travelling in Asia. We were dropped at our hotel (Thamel) in Kathmandu which was perfectly adequate, and then went to the Adv Treks office the next day to talk to Gyan about the trek etc. Again, everything was on time and organised for our flight to the Himalayas the next morning, and we met out guide Mr Khim, who was extremely friendly and very knowledgable. The trekking was superb! Unfortunately altitude sickness hit me very hard, and eventually the decision was made that an emergency evacuation was required. Within an hour of the decision, we were in a helicopter on our way back to Kathmandu - all sorted by Gyan! He was also at the hospital to meet us, and checked in regularly over the next few days to see how we were getting on. He also helped us organise other places to stay and other things to do that weren't related to his company - this was really nice and we could tell he wanted us to enjoy being in Nepal. He also took care of sending all insurance details to relevant parties after the incident, so I just had to focus on getting well and planning the rest of the trip. Overall, extremely friendly, extremely helpful, and I know exactly who to contact when I go back to Nepal to try Everest again!! Thank you so much Gyan!
Comments: Thank you for this amazing trip! We are already itching for another! You're doing great things for adventure lovers who never thought they'd get the opportunity to go on an adventure. Thank you. we'll be back real soon".
Comments: Lalit did an amazing job of looking after me. Nothing was too much. Thank you all for such wonderful memories and fantastic organisation.
Comments: Adventure Treks Nepal provided our group with an amazing experience that nobody who went will ever forget. We completed the ABC trek over 10 days and every minute was a blast. Everything from top to bottom was organized in the most excellent fashion to make the trip as easy for the customers to enjoy as possible. All the meals, accommodation and transport were organized, by the company and would highly recommend using them for your trek.
Comments: "Manaslu trek - efficient organization and professional guide and porter "
We went on an 18 day trek (Manaslu circuit with a side trip up Tsum Valley) with Adventure Treks Nepal. The organization of all the trek details - including modification to meet our specific itinerary requests - was very professional and efficient. The Managing Director was helpful and responsive, answering all of our questions.
When we arrived in Kathmandu, we were met with a friendly greeting at the airport and the company transferred us to the hotel. On the trek, our guide and porter were extremely kind, helpful and professional. They anticipated many needs before we had to ask...and if we did ask for something, they helped in any way possible. We trusted them and we had fun together. It was a truly wonderful and memorable experience and I highly recommend this company.
Just one helpful hint if you've never booked a trek like this before (this was our first time) - it is worth asking all details of what is included in the package and the related costs to be sure ahead of time you agree with the means of transportation, the food and drink arrangement, etc. In hindsight, knowing the details ahead of the trek (and potentially making modifications) would have been very helpful.
