Kailash Mansarovar tour is an adventurous trip in the Tibetan Himalayan range. It is an overland tour with three days of hiking around Mt. Kailash, which we call Kailash Parikrama of Kailash Kora.
The tour starts in Kathmandu, Nepal. You will spend a few days exploring the city's architectural and cultural marvels. On the fifth day, you will drive to Rashuwagadi and enter Tibet the next day.
Our Tibetan representative will pick you up at the border and accompany you during the rest of the tour in Tibet. Before you start circumambulating Mt. Kailash, you will spend a few days exploring beautiful Tibetan towns.

This tour is also known as the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. There is no age limit to join this tour. The Kailash Kora is the most challenging part of it. It involves three days of walking on rugged terrain, so travelers have to be fit.

Kailash Mansarovar tour from Kathmandu itinerary
Explore Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, also known as the city of temples. Visit ancient places, courtyards, temples, and monasteries. Relish Nepali cuisine and spend a day enjoying other indulgences the city has to offer.
A scenic highway connects Kathmandu with Tibet via the Rasuwagadhi Kerung border. Our team will obtain all the necessary permits for the Kailash Mansarovar tour and help you with your visa. On the other side of the border, our Tibetan representatives will assist you during the tour.
From Kerung, you will drive to Saga, enjoying stunning views of Gaurishankar, Langtang Himal, and Shishapangma. The ride also offers views of Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen, and Peiku Tso lakes.
At this point of the tour, you are already above 4,500 meters, so it is crucial to take an acclimatization break to avoid altitude sickness. So, we have added a rest day in Saga to our itinerary. Continuing the ride from Saga, you will drive past a small town called Zhongba and ascend to Mayomla Pass (5,112 m).
The road then descends to Paryang, watching the view of Mt. Naimonanyi, Mt. Kailash, Mansarovar Lake, Rakshastal Lake, and Chui Monastery. After spending a night at Paryang, you will drive to Darchen, where the Kora starts.
The Kailash Kora/Parikrama
From Darche, you will ascend following the rocky cliffs to Dira-Puk. On the way, you will see jaw-dropping waterfalls. If hiking with your backpack is tough, you can hire a porter at an affordable cost.
From Dira-Puk, you will ascend to Dolma La pass (5,670 m). It is the highest point touched during the Kora. At the top of the pass, devotees do a small puja ceremony and get blessings.
The trail then descends to ZuthulPhuk, offering views of Gauri Kund on the way. The final day of Parikrama takes you to the ending point. You will drive to Saga. Follow the same highway back to Kerung and drive back to Kathmandu.
