Our Kathmandu - Nagarkot Chitwan - Pokhara tour includes the sightseeing around World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley at the initial stage letting you know the practices and history of people living in this valley. From Kathmandu we then head to the jungle of Chitwan National Park where we will be able to witness the one horned Rhino with our own eyes while knowing more about the cultures of Tharu Community and get lost into the nature by involving ourselves in various wild life activities. After spending couple of days in Chitwan National Park, our next destination will be Nepal’s lake city, Pokhara. In Pokhara we will again visit some of the sightseeing sites around the city while enjoying the peaceful environment of lakeside during your stay in Pokhara.

Itinerary

 

Day 01: Arrival in Nepal: After you land in Kathmandu airport you will meet a representative from Adventure Treks Nepal who will assist you with hotel procedure. A short briefing will be done once you have settled down. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Cultural Tour in Kathmandu: Today we will explore the Kathmandu Valley. We will visit the World heritage sites located in Kathmandu Valley. After your breakfast we will drive towards Swyambhunath also known as the monkey temple because of hundreds of monkeys living around the stupa. It is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist Stupa and believed to be more than 2,000 years old. We will then drive to the ancient palace of Kathmandu Valley, the Kathmandu Durbar Square. This premises was the palace of ancient Kathmandu with many other attractions like temple of living goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple and the Kastamandap temple inside the Durbar Square Area. From Kathmandu Durbar Square we head to another ancient Palace of Kathmandu Valley situated in Patan. Patan Durar Square has a long Buddhist History and the four corners of the city are marked by Stupas erected by the great Buddhist emperor Ashoka around 250 BCE.Visit Patan City second largest city of valley including Royal Palace, Bhimsen temple, Manga Hiti, King Yogaendra Malla’s Statue, Krishna temple, Taleju temple, 15th century Golden Temple and Mahaboudha Temple known as temple of 10,000 Buddha, Kumbeshwar Temple. Bishwakarma Temple, Uma Maheshwar Temple. Overnight in Hotel.  (Breakfast Included).

Day 03: Kathmandu - Nagarkot: AM: Breakfast at Hotel. Visit Pashupatinath temple one of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the World. The holy river Bagmati and the burning ghats and also visit one of the oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath. Lunch: 1300hrs- 1400hrsPM: After lunch transfer to Nagarkot that lies 35 km east of the Kathmandu city located at the elevation of 7200 ft., which offers 200 miles panorama of the Himalayas of Mt. Everest in the east to Dhaulagiri in the west, Arrive Nagarkot, Hotel Check in. Watch the Sunset and Himalayan views. Overnight in Hotel.  (Breakfast Included).

Day 04: Nagarkot - Kathmandu: Morning wake up call for sunrise and Himalayan views in Nagarkot. After Breakfast transfer to Kathmandu on the way back to Kathmandu visit Bhaktapur also known as city of Devotees and center of medieval art and architecture founded by King Anand Dev in 889 AD visit Nyatapola temple, the most beautiful temple of Nepal, the 15th century palace of 55 windows, Golden gate and other place of Interest. Overnight stay at Hotel. Overnight in Hotel.  (Breakfast Included).

Day 05: Drive to Pokhara: Early in the morning, we drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Nepal's lake city. Our car follows a winding road over the valley rim and descends onto the Trisuli River. The journey is slow and steady as the road winds through villages and passing terrace fields before reaching our destination. Overnight in Hotel.  (Breakfast Included).

Day 06: In Pokhara: Early in the morning we will drive for around 30 min to a place named Sarangkotr to observe the sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayan Range that include two of the 8000 ers of Nepal with many other peaks like Fishtail. Hiuchuli, Annapurna South and so on. We then drive back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we have a sightseeing tour of Pokhara City which includes the visit of Davis fall, Gurkha Museuam, Bindabasini Temple and Tibetan Camp. Overnight in Hotel.  (Breakfast Included).

Day 07: Breakfast at Hotel Drive to Chitwan National Park: After breakfast at Hotel in Pokhara we have 5-6 hrs drive to Chitwan National Park. Arrive Chitwan National Park. Transfer to the lodge followed by refreshments and a briefing about the Programme.

13.00 hrs: Arrival/Briefing/Lunch.
15.30 hrs: Culture tour to Tharu village.
17.00 hrs: Museum tour & sunset viewing over the Rapti River.
19.00 hrs: Dinner.
20.00 hrs: Tharu stick Dance.

Day 08: In Chitwan National Park:

06.00 hrs: Wake-up Call
06.30 hrs: Breakfast
07.15 hrs: Dog-out canoeing (Buddi Rapti) / Shoret Jungle Walk. Visit elephant Breeding Centre
12.30 hrs: Lunch
15.00 hrs: Elephant Back Safari Of Jeep Drive.
19.00 hrs: Free time for refreshment
20.30 hrs: Dinner

Day 0: Breakfast at Hotel-Drive to Kathmandu:

Day 10: Departure: A representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will drop you to the airport according to your flight time.

If you are thinking about how to obtain Nepal visa, then the easiest way to obtain it is at the Tribhuwan International Airport upon your arrival in Nepal or else at the immigration entry point if you are entering through the border of India or Tibet.

Note: There are few countries namely Nigeria, Ghana, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Iraq, Ethiopia, Liberia, Palestine, etc. People from these countries do not get visa from the immigration entry points of Nepal.)

What do you need to obtain Nepal visa?

If you are thinking of taking visa at the airport or immigration entry point, following are your requirements:

* A valid passport (The passport should have validity of at least six months)
* You should fill the application form for visa available at airport or immigration entry points.
* Two passport size photos
* Visa fees which should be paid in cash.

* Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu.
* Eastern Nepal - Kakarvitta, Jhapa.
* Central Nepal - Birjung, Parsa.
* Northern Border - Kodari, Sindhupalchowk. (Now closed after earthquake).
* Northern Border - Kerung, Rasuwa.
* Western - Rupandehi (Belhiya, Bhairahawa).
* Mid-western - Banke (Jamuna, Nepalgunj).
* Far western - Kailali (Mohana, Dhangadhi) / Kanchanpur (Gaddachauki, Mahendranagar).

Visa Fees

* USD 30 or equivalent convertible currency for 15 days.
* USD 50 or equivalent convertible currency for 30 days.
* USD 125 or equivalent convertible currency for 90 days.
* For the tourist of SAARC nationals, free visa up to 30 days.
* Visa is not required for Indian nationals. However, if they enter Nepal via air, they will have to show a valid identification certificate (passport/ citizenship certificate). The children under the age of 10 do not need to show identification certificate.

Visa Extension

* Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for additional days.
* In the case of delay less than 150 days additional USD 5 per day as late fine.

Transit Visa

When a foreigner has to get down at Nepalese airport as a result of his/her transit point or due to any force landing for whatever the reason, the foreigner can obtain transit visa for a day after paying USD 5 or any other currency equivalent.

Other General Information

* Entering in to Nepal or staying in Nepal without a valid visa is illegal.
* Tourist visa can be obtained either through the Nepalese embassy or consulate or other mission offices in your nation or at the immigration entry points in Nepal listed above.
* Visa once issued cannot be amended and the visa fees are non-refundable.
* You should pay the Nepal visa fees in cash. Credit card or cheque are not acceptable.
* Visa charges are not applicable for children under 10 years of age, however, they must obtain a valid visa.
* If you are obtaining a new passport or travel document, you are advised to contact the Immigration Department for the document transfer.
* Always carry your passport and trekking permit while on trekking.
* Some of the areas are restricted for filming. Therefore, be careful not to do the activities that are strictly prohibited.
* The culture, tradition and sentiments of Nepalese people should be respected.
* Do not perform any activities that would hurt their sentiments.
