Paragliding, Rafting and Hiking with Cultural tour is a mixture of adventure sports that Nepal has to offer along with the taste of the rich cultural history. Nepal is well known for its extraordinary views and is a paradise for people who love nature. We have prepared this program to provide our clients the feeling of adventure with very minimum effort. This trip is suitable for people of all age groups. We believe, along with promoting adventurous activities such as trekking, paragliding and high altitude mountaineering, we should also make people from all around the world aware about the rich history that this wonderful country Nepal has. The world should know about the unique customs and traditions of people living in Nepal.

The trip begins after your arrival in Kathmandu airport from where you will be transferred to the hotel. On the first day of arrival we will have sightseeing around Swyambhunath Stupa. We will then drive towards Pokhara the following day, along the Trishuli and Marshyangdi River. We will stop and get on a raft for a few hours on the Trishuli River and enjoy the white water rafting. After completing our rafting we will continue our drive to Pokhara. The following day we will have a paragliding session over the city of Pokhara from where you will have an extraordinary view of the city sitting on the lap of Mt. Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Himalaya Range along with the Phewa Lake. We then hike towards Sarangkot where we will spend the night. The next morning we will be witnessing an amazing sunrise over the Himalayas. You will have a panoramic view which will leave you amazed. We will walk back to Pokhara for a few hours, Sightseeing around Pokhara and in the afternoon we will go boating in the fewa lakes.

After returning back to Kathmandu you will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Trip ends on the 7th day as you will be dropped off at the airport by a representative of Adventure Treks Nepal.

Itinerary


Day 01: Namaste Nepal: Arrival in Kathmandu city, the urban core of the Kathmandu Valley in the Himalayas, and head to check in at a cozy hotel that's perfectly located in the center of all the action. Today you'll visit Swayambhunath (a.k.a. the Monkey Temple) where you can interact with the Monkeys! (Hotel Manang).

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara [970 m] Via Rafting -(B,L): After an early breakfast, you drive to the rafting starting point where we will begin rafting for about two to three hours on exhilarating rapids. You will then drive to the city of Pokhara to get the chance to view the natural beauty of this area. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 03: Paragliding Over Nepal -(B,L,D): After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head out to an adrenaline-pumping paragliding session as we fly over some breathtaking scenery. We will then start our hike to Sarangkot hill in the afternoon. This hike is known for its spectacular mountain scenery and panoramic views of the surrounding mountain skyline, home to 3 of the highest mountains in the world! View the natural beauty of Pokhara Valley and sleep at a lodge on top of the hill with some views to die for.

Day 04: Sarangkot Pokhara - (B): Rise and shine, Adventure! We’re taking a short hike up the hill to watch the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas before breakfast. Next we walk back to Pokhara before heading out for a half-day sightseeing tour of Bindhyabasini Temple, known for its fabulous view of the city and mountain ranges. Catch a glimpse of the unique Davis Fall, home to the legend of the Devi’s fall (be sure to ask about the legend when we get there), before we head to the illustrious Gorkha Museum that represents the mountains, people, and the area’s environment. After the sightseeing tour we have a one-hour boating trip then free afternoon where we can enjoy the town's nature or even come back with a few Nepali souvenirs.

Day 05: Fly to Kathmandu (B): After breakfast we take a mountain flight to Kathmandu. |Upon your arrival in Kathmandu we will transfer you to the hotel. In the afternoon we have a walking tour to explore the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square - The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu, Temple of living goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple, 17th century temple known for colorfully painted erotic carvings, Kasthmandap temple a three story temple built from a single tree in 12th century. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 06: Breakfast at Hotel. Full day sightseeing including (B): AM: Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed for sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city 15 km from Kathmandu, known as city of Devotees and center of medieval art and architecture founded by King Anand Dev in 889 AD, visit Nyatpola temple, the most beautiful temple of Nepal, the 15th century palace of 55 windows, Golden gate and other place of Interest. Lunch Time: 1300hrs-14:00hrs PM: Visit Pashupatinath temple one of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the World. The holy river Bagmati and the burning ghats and also visit one of the oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath. Overnight stay at Hotel. Hotel Manang or Similar.

Day 07: Fly back home (B): According to your flight time, a representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will drop you to the airport. Return back home with memories that last life time

If you are thinking about how to obtain Nepal visa, then the easiest way to obtain it is at the Tribhuwan International Airport upon your arrival in Nepal or else at the immigration entry point if you are entering through the border of India or Tibet.

Note: There are few countries namely Nigeria, Ghana, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Iraq, Ethiopia, Liberia, Palestine, etc. People from these countries do not get visa from the immigration entry points of Nepal.)

What do you need to obtain Nepal visa?

If you are thinking of taking visa at the airport or immigration entry point, following are your requirements:

* A valid passport (The passport should have validity of at least six months)
* You should fill the application form for visa available at airport or immigration entry points.
* Two passport size photos
* Visa fees which should be paid in cash.

Entry points to Nepal

* Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu.
* Eastern Nepal - Kakarvitta, Jhapa.
* Central Nepal - Birjung, Parsa.
* Northern Border - Kodari, Sindhupalchowk. (Now closed after earthquake).
* Northern Border - Kerung, Rasuwa.
* Western - Rupandehi (Belhiya, Bhairahawa).
* Mid-western - Banke (Jamuna, Nepalgunj).
* Far western - Kailali (Mohana, Dhangadhi) / Kanchanpur (Gaddachauki, Mahendranagar).

Visa Fees

* USD 30 or equivalent convertible currency for 15 days.
* USD 50 or equivalent convertible currency for 30 days.
* USD 125 or equivalent convertible currency for 90 days.
* For the tourist of SAARC nationals, free visa up to 30 days.
* Visa is not required for Indian nationals. However, if they enter Nepal via air, they will have to show a valid identification certificate (passport/ citizenship certificate). The children under the age of 10 do not need to show identification certificate.

Visa Extension

* Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for additional days.
* In the case of delay less than 150 days additional USD 5 per day as late fine.

Transit Visa

When a foreigner has to get down at Nepalese airport as a result of his/her transit point or due to any force landing for whatever the reason, the foreigner can obtain transit visa for a day after paying USD 5 or any other currency equivalent.

Other General Information

* Entering in to Nepal or staying in Nepal without a valid visa is illegal.
* Tourist visa can be obtained either through the Nepalese embassy or consulate or other mission offices in your nation or at the immigration entry points in Nepal listed above.
* Visa once issued cannot be amended and the visa fees are non-refundable.
* You should pay the Nepal visa fees in cash. Credit card or cheque are not acceptable.
* Visa charges are not applicable for children under 10 years of age, however, they must obtain a valid visa.
* If you are obtaining a new passport or travel document, you are advised to contact the Immigration Department for the document transfer.
* Always carry your passport and trekking permit while on trekking.
* Some of the areas are restricted for filming. Therefore, be careful not to do the activities that are strictly prohibited.
* The culture, tradition and sentiments of Nepalese people should be respected.
* Do not perform any activities that would hurt their sentiments.
Do not perform any activities that would lead to moral turpitude.
