Geographically divided into three geographical regions i.e. the Plains (Terai), Hills and Mountains, Nepal has diverse landscape within its territory. Our Three terrains Nepal Package takes you to all the geographical terrains of Nepal from an altitude of below 1,000m to 4,130m. Allowing you to explore Nepal more by reaching the different geographical conditions with different cultures of people living in these regions, our three terrains Nepal package is one of the complete packages to know more about the history, geography and culture of people living in Nepal.

Three terrains Nepal Package begins after you land in the hills of Nepal, at Tribhuvan International here in Nepal. After your arrival to the land of Himalayas and the birth place of Gautam Buddha, we then have a mountain flight to witness the Mighty Everest in Khumbhu Region. Our mountain flight is followed by the cultural tour of Kathmandu Valley including the world heritage sites listed by UNESCO in Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. We then drive towards Bandipur, Nepal’s Hill station from where we have the panoramic views of the Himalayas. From Bandipur we drive further ahead towards Pokhara, Nepal’s lake city whose natural beauty is beyond the expectations.

After spending a night in Pokhara we then begin our footsteps up close to the Himalayas. Starting our trek to Annapurna Base Camp, we pass Ulleri and reach Ghorepani from where we head to Poonhill to catch the splendid sunrise over some of the 8000ers of the world. We finally reach Annapurna Base Camp slowly, enjoying the influence of Tibetan culture in people living in this region. After successfully reaching the Annapurna Base Camp, our final days in the mountains bring us to Jhinu Danda where we enjoy the natural hot springs.

Furthermore, we return back to Pokhara and early morning drive to Sarangkot to catch the last glimpses of the Annapurna Himalayan Range. We then drive to Palpa, the unspoiled part of Nepal where international tourists are seen less in numbers. From Palpa we finally drive towards the Plains of Nepal. Firstly, we drive to Birthplace of Gautam Buddha, Lumbini where the history related to Buddhism is explained to you in detail. We then drive towards Chitwan National Park to involve ourselves in many Wildlife Experiences. Three Terrains Nepal Tour ends in Kathmandu after exploring all the major geographical features of Nepal.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmadu: A representative from Adventure Treks Nepal will pick you from the airport according to your flight time who will transfer you to the hotel. If you have any questions do let us know. Overnight stay at Hotel Manang or Similar.

Day 02: Mountain Flight and Full day sightseeing including: Before Breakfast: We pick up you from the Hotel transfer to domestic airport for Everest Flight then back to the Hotel for Breakfast. After Breakfast: Sightseeing including: AM: Visit 2000 years old Buddhist shrine Swyambhunath, situated on the top of the hill west of the city the most popular and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. The temple is colloquially known as the “Monkey Temple”. There are many small buildings and shrines down the hillside behind Swayambhunath. Explore the colorful Kathmandu Durbar Square - The Old Royal Palace of Kathmandu, Temple of living goddess Kumari, the Jagannath temple, and 17th century temple known for colorfully painted erotic carvings, Kasthmandap temple a three story temple built from a single tree in 12th century. Lunch Time: 1300hrs - 14:00hrs PM: Patan is often referred to as Lalitpur, which means “city of beauty”. Patan has a long Buddhist History and the four corners of the city are marked by Stupas erected by the great Buddhist emperor Ashoka around 250 BCE.Visit Patan City second largest city of valley including Royal Palace, Bhimsen temple, Manga Hiti, King Yogaendra Malla’s Statue, Krishna temple, Taleju temple, 15th century Golden Temple and Mahaboudha Temple known as temple of 10,000 Buddha, Kumbeshwar Temple. Bishwakarma Temple, Uma Maheshwar Temple. Overnight stay at the Hotel. (Breakfast Included). Overnight stay at Hotel Manang or Similar.

Day 03: Breakfast at Hotel. Full day sightseeing including: AM: Breakfast at Hotel. Proceed for sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city 15 km from Kathmandu, known as city of Devotees and center of medieval art and architecture founded by King Anand Dev in 889 AD, visit Nyatpola temple, the most beautiful temple of Nepal, the 15th century palace of 55 windows, Golden gate and other place of Interest. Lunch Time: 1300hrs-14:00hrs PM: Visit Pashupatinath temple one of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the World. The holy river Bagmati and the burning ghats and also visit one of the oldest and biggest stupa of Boudhanath. (Breakfast Included). Overnight stay at Hotel Manang or Similar.

Day 04: Drive to Bandipur [1,030 m]: Early in the morning we leave towards Bandipur, a beautiful village at the top of the hill. We begin to drive towards Bandipur after breakfast at the hotel in Kathmandu. The drive will take around 4-5 hours. (Breakfast Included). Overnight stay at Hotel Kaushi inn bandipur or Similar.

Day 05: Drive to Pokhara [970 m]: After a refreshing morning in Bandipur we head to Pokhara after breakfast. The drive will take around 2-3 hours and goes through hills along with terraced fields in the background. Pokhara is best known for its tranquil atmosphere and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Afternoon: We have a half day sightseeing tour of Bindhyabasini Temple known for its fabulous view of the city and mountain ranges. Catch a glimpse of the unique waterfall, Davis fall (Tibetan Camp at Chorepatan), home to the legend of the Devi’s fall (to add a little mystery to your adventure, be sure to ask about the legend when your there). You then head to the illustrious Gorkha Museum that represents the mountains, people, and the area’s environment. (Breakfast Included). Overnight stay at Hotel Peninsula or Similar.

Day 06: Drive to Nayapul, trek to Ulleri [2,020 m]: After your breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara we begin our drive to Nayapul which is approximately 40 k.m. from Pokhara. The drive will take around 1 hour 30 min after which we will begin our trek. The first part of the trail takes us to Birethati where we will check in our ACAP permit and TIMS. We then cross the river at Birethati and head left along the gentle slope to Tikhedhunga where we cross the BhurungdiKhola River on two suspension bridges. After crossing the river we will start the steep climb to Ulleri where we will be spending the night. (Car+Trek). (Drive 01-01:30 Hours). Trek (05-06 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Day 07: Trek to Ghorepani [2,810 m]: After breakfast we continue our trek towards Ghorepani through the settlements of Banthati and Nangethati. We also pass a spring inside the forest after Banthati. Crossing the spring by a bridge we continue towards our destination. Occasional views of the peaks give way to a narrower valley, passing through Rhododendron forest then eventually reaching the village of Ghorepani where we spend a night. Trek (03-04 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 08: Ghorepani to Chule [2,375 m] via Tadapani [2,630 m] - (B,L,D): During the night, your guide will check for clear weather to make the one-hour climb up to the Poonhill viewpoint at 3,210m. It’s usually misty when you start off and arrive, then at sunrise the clouds part to reveal one of the most majestic sunrises in the world; Machapuchhre, Annapurna South, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri Mountain are all viewable from here.We then head back to Ghorepani for breakfast before trekking down to Chule via Tadapani.

Along the trail towards Tadapani, we make climb along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2,960 meters). After that we descend to the Banthanti, we then turn off to Chule via Tadapani. Trek (05-06 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 09: Trek to Chhomrong [2,170 m] - (B/L/D): The day begins on a sheer path inside the Rhododendron forests after your breakfast and onto the terraced fields which seems absolutely stunning. We then climb unwaveringly passing exalted waterfalls and cross a suspension bridge. The trail ahead is fixture of ups and downs finally reaching Chhomrong, our final destination for the day. It is a beautiful village located on the lap of the giant Annapurna massive. Overnight in Chhomrong. Trek (04-05 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Note: Above Chhomrong only dormitory rooms available.

Day 10: Trek to Dovan [2,630m] - (B,L,D): After your breakfast we will continue ahead on the trail to Annapurna Base Camp descending down to Chhomrong Khola where we cross the river on a suspension bridge. The path then is a climb to Kuldi via Tilche and Sinuwa. From Kuldi (3,350m) we trek downwards on a steep staircase towards settlement of Bamboo Lodge (2,340m). After our lunch at Bamboo we head alongside the west bank of Modi Khola with the trail gradually going upwards. We finally reach the settlement of Dovan where we will be spending the night. Trek (04-05 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 11: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp [4,130 m] - (B,L,D): After breakfast at the Tea house in Dovan we begin our day with an ascend to Deurali (3,230m) from where we head towards Hinko Cave passing Himalayan Hotel at an elevation of 2,900m. Climb gently through a river bed then over a steep trail over to the mountain side. The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is somewhat strenuous. From Machhapuchhre base camp we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding experience. Trek (04-05 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 12: Trek to Annapurna Base camp [4,130 m] - (B,L,D): The vegetation disappears on our way to ABC and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding the 360-degree panorama. From the base camp we again get to savor mesmerizing views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks. Trek (03-04 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 13: Trek to Bambo or Sinuwa [2,340 m] - (B,L,D): After spending a night at the Base Camp we retrace our footsteps back to Bamboo on the same trail we used to get to the Base camp. The trail today is quite easy as it will be mostly downhill. If possible we will trek further ahead to Sinuwa. We will have marvelous sceneries always cheering us while we retrace our footsteps back to Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo or Sinuwa. Trek (07-09 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 14: Trek to Jhinu Danda [1,760 m] - (B,L,D): After your breakfast we will resume our trek towards Jhinu Danda where the hot water springs are waiting for us. We will ascend to Kuldighar followed by a descend to Chhomromg Khola. The hot spring at Jhinu Danda is a perfect medicine to heal your aching body after a long trek. We can spend our remaining time relaxing at the hot spring in Jhinu Danda. Overnight in Jhinu Danda. Trek (04-05 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 15: Trek to Potana [1,890 m] - (B,L,D): The trail today is comparatively very easy to Potana. We walk through New Bridge, Landruk, Bhedikharkha and Deurali to finally reach Potana. Potana is a village at an elevation of 2,005 meters offering marvelous view of Annapurna Himalayan Range and Fishtail. Overnight in Potana. Trek (06-07 Hrs). (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Overnight stay at Tea House.

Day 16: Trek to Phedi [1,130 m] and drive to Pokhara [970 m] - (B,L): It is a short hike on this day. We begin our trek after your breakfast towards Dhampus from where the trail is steep downhill towards Phedi. From Phedi we drive towards Pokhara which is regarded as one of the beautiful city of Nepal. Trek 2-3 hours and drive 30 Minutes. (Breakfast and Lunch Included). Overnight stay at Hotel Peninsula or Similar.

Day 17: Breakfast at Hotel Drive to Palpa: Before Breakfast: Very early in the morning wake up call for visit to Sarangkot (1,592m) (drive 30 minutes). One gets to see the sunrise and the magnificent views of the Himalayan like Mt Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna IV (7,525m), AnnapurnaIII (7,555m), Machhapuchere (6993m). Back to Hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at Pokhara we start our driving to Tansen (Palpa) Tansen is the most popular place for the views of the Himalayas. Tansen is a great rarity a Nepali town big enough to be interesting, yet so far utterly unspoiled. Set at 1,400 meters on the southern side of the Mahabharat range in south central Nepal, it's an ideal hill station, with a marvelously fresh climate. Tansen is a bright Himalayan Town. Over here we can enjoy Dhaulagiri in the west and Gauri Shanker in the north east. Then we will return to hotel. (05-07 Hrs) (Breakfast Included). Overnight at Hotel Srinagar) or Similar.

Day 18: Breakfast at Hotel Drive to Lumbini: After Breakfast at Hotel in Palpa Tansen we have a drive 3-4 hrs to Lumbini, birth place of lord Buddha, Arrive Lumbini. Hotel checks in. Visit Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Myanmar temple and the Lumbini museum. Lumbini is the biggest pilgrimage for the adherent of Buddhist religion in the world. (Breakfast Included). Overnight at Hotel Lumbini Garden (New Crystal) or Similar.

Day 19: Breakfast at Hotel Drive to Chitwan National Park: Today we will head towards Chitwan. After your breakfast at the Hotel we will begin our drive which will take 3 to 4 hours. Once you arrive at Chitwan, a short briefing is made regarding your stay in Chitwan. If any queries feel free to ask us. After Lunch visit to Tharu village. Tharu are the local people living in Chitwan area since a long period of time. Then we head towards Tharu Cultural museum where we will know more about the history of the Tharu people followed by a walk to the Rapti River Bank to observe spectacular sunset. Return back to hotel for Dinner and head to Tharu Stick Dance programme to observe outstanding display of Dance with sticks by Tharu people. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Hotel Park Land or Similar.

Day 20: In Chitwan National Park: Today we will be having remaining wildlife activities. After breakfast we will head out for Dog-out canoeing followed by a short jungle hike that takes us to elephant breeding centre. We will spend some time in the Breeding centre and return back to hotel for Lunch. We then will head to Rapti River to witness elephant bath. You can also join the elephant while it is bathing which is a great experience. After that we will go on elephant safari where we will be on elephants back exploring the Chitwan National Park furthermore. Return back to hotel. Remaining time is free for refreshments. Dinner will be served at the Hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included). Hotel Park Land or Similar.

Day 21: Breakfast at Hotel Drive to Kathmandu: Our last day at Chitwan we have just left bird watching session. A wildlife Guide will lead you around to see some of the birds around the National Park. We will then return back to Hotel for Breakfast.

After breakfast in Chitwan, we drive to Kathmandu 5-7 hours. Check to the Hotel rest of the day is leisure. (Breakfast Included). Overnight stay at Hotel Manang or Similar.

Day 22: Fly back home: We will transfer you to the airport and assist with check-in procedures. Check out Time at 12:00 noon. (Breakfast Included).

If you are thinking about how to obtain Nepal visa, then the easiest way to obtain it is at the Tribhuwan International Airport upon your arrival in Nepal or else at the immigration entry point if you are entering through the border of India or Tibet.

Note: There are few countries namely Nigeria, Ghana, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Iraq, Ethiopia, Liberia, Palestine, etc. People from these countries do not get visa from the immigration entry points of Nepal.)

What do you need to obtain Nepal visa?

If you are thinking of taking visa at the airport or immigration entry point, following are your requirements:

* A valid passport (The passport should have validity of at least six months)
* You should fill the application form for visa available at airport or immigration entry points.
* Two passport size photos
* Visa fees which should be paid in cash.

Entry points to Nepal

* Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu.
* Eastern Nepal - Kakarvitta, Jhapa.
* Central Nepal - Birjung, Parsa.
* Northern Border - Kodari, Sindhupalchowk. (Now closed after earthquake).
* Northern Border - Kerung, Rasuwa.
* Western - Rupandehi (Belhiya, Bhairahawa).
* Mid-western - Banke (Jamuna, Nepalgunj).
* Far western - Kailali (Mohana, Dhangadhi) / Kanchanpur (Gaddachauki, Mahendranagar).

Visa Fees

* USD 30 or equivalent convertible currency for 15 days.
* USD 50 or equivalent convertible currency for 30 days.
* USD 125 or equivalent convertible currency for 90 days.
* For the tourist of SAARC nationals, free visa up to 30 days.
* Visa is not required for Indian nationals. However, if they enter Nepal via air, they will have to show a valid identification certificate (passport/ citizenship certificate). The children under the age of 10 do not need to show identification certificate.

Visa Extension

* Tourist visa extension is done for minimum 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for additional days.
* In the case of delay less than 150 days additional USD 5 per day as late fine.

Transit Visa

When a foreigner has to get down at Nepalese airport as a result of his/her transit point or due to any force landing for whatever the reason, the foreigner can obtain transit visa for a day after paying USD 5 or any other currency equivalent.

Other General Information

* Entering in to Nepal or staying in Nepal without a valid visa is illegal.
* Tourist visa can be obtained either through the Nepalese embassy or consulate or other mission offices in your nation or at the immigration entry points in Nepal listed above.
* Visa once issued cannot be amended and the visa fees are non-refundable.
* You should pay the Nepal visa fees in cash. Credit card or cheque are not acceptable.
* Visa charges are not applicable for children under 10 years of age, however, they must obtain a valid visa.
* If you are obtaining a new passport or travel document, you are advised to contact the Immigration Department for the document transfer.
* Always carry your passport and trekking permit while on trekking.
* Some of the areas are restricted for filming. Therefore, be careful not to do the activities that are strictly prohibited.
* The culture, tradition and sentiments of Nepalese people should be respected.
* Do not perform any activities that would hurt their sentiments.
